About The Door
A Note from Alixx:
The Door is an organization that I am deeply passionate about, one that is partly responsible for inspiring my film in development, LOVE MUSIC SHELTER. Aside from the elderly, at risk and homeless youth are amongst the hardest hit demographic of COVID-19. Please see the below message from Eric Weingarten, CEO of The Door, and consider donating if you have the means (please let them know that Alixx sent you!)

The Door’s mission is to empower young people to reach their potential by providing comprehensive youth development services in a diverse and caring environment. Since 1972, The Door has helped a diverse and rapidly growing population of disconnected youth in New York City gain the tools they need to become successful, in school, work and in life. The Door is also focused on impacting the lives of young people throughout the city and, as such, has served as a model for other, similar organizations locally, nationally and internationally.
We know firsthand what an amazing organization The Door is. We are proud to support this organization in its mission to empower at-risk youth, bringing them off the streets and into safe learning environments where they can develop the skills they need to reach their greatest potential. We ask that you join us in lifting up The Door and its goals by donating to their cause, either monetarily or by volunteering your time and/or services.
