Summary for Feature Film

CHANGO is the OG when it comes to the world of Gangsters and Street legends. According to the late NY DA Robert Morgenthau, "Had the fortune 500 company Johnson and Johnson employed CHANGO and Tito (Chango's partner) they would have made even more money." After all, CHANGO was running a 5 million dollar a year crack empire with a team of 48 employees all whom were teenagers in the heyday of the 1990's crack epidemic.  Having done his time in high security prisons with some of the most notorious Gangsters, he's got plenty of stories to share. From the dark underbelly of NYS penitentiaries to its most dangerous convicts, to the stories of Felons he's helped exonerate; you will experience riveting unknown tales from the dark side. Experience this world and live vicariously through CHANGO'S adventures -  NYC crack wars and countless murders revolving around the drug trade and all in the comfort of your home, office, subway ride or metro.  On a lighter note, UNFILTERED REALITY also features a variety of interviews with hip hop crime figures, musical guests, streetwear designers, sneaker culture and more… This podcast doesn't glamorize "the life" rather enforces the message that "crime doesn't pay."

Summary for Docuseries

Martin was born on December 28,1972 to a single mother of sugarcane farmers in the impoverished town of Patillas, Puerto Rico. At three months old, Martin suffered from a life-threatening medical condition which brought him and his mother to New York City for an emergency procedure. After the operation, Martin’s mother made plans to put down roots in the city and start a brand new life. Unfortunately, the hope and promise of the city dimmed into a grim reality for Martin’s small family. With his father estranged, his mother struggled to raise Martin and his two siblings the best she could. Despite their efforts to survive and prosper, the squalor and unforgiving environment led them back to Puerto Rico 16 years later, deflated and unsettled. At the age of 17, Martin fished to make ends meet, selling his catch on the long walk back to his family suffering from poverty and homelessness. One fateful day, Martin’s mother received an envelope containing plane tickets to New York, purchased by his aunt’s brother, giving the family a second chance to live their American dream.
